Back To School Blog Hop!

Hello and welcome to the "Back To School" blog hop hosted by Audrey @scrappyemt. If you just happen to visit my blog and want to join the hop then click HERE to start at the beginning at Audrey's blog.

This is my first time participating in a hop, so if I do anything backwards, bear with me :). This is a small hop, but you will surely find some inspiration. I've stated in previous post that school starts next week here for my children. It's been a quick summer! I started the tradition of taking first day pictures when my son started school. I chose to do a LO that I will use this year.

I used Doodlecharms for the bus
Everyday Paper Dolls for the road
Lockertalk for all the rest of the cuts
The base cardstock is Bazzil. Patterned papers are unknown. I've had them for awhile. I cut some transparency on my cricut for the lens on the camera and the flash.
The notebook paper is from DCWV High School stack
The sentiment is from Emma @ my creative time
My title letters are thickers (root beer)

And.... What's a hop without some candy!

This stamp set from Inkadinkado!

The Perfect Pear

Hi!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far. I wanted to upload and share this card before heading out for a busy day. Eye doctor appointments and more school shopping. School starts next Thurs. around here and this weekend is MS tax free weekend, so I'm gonna take advantage of that. I designed this card in my gypsy. I wanted to submit a project for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday #70. The challenge is to use a melon or some type of fruit. I used a pear from Home Accents and cut each layer in a different color. I used some glossy accents on the seeds to make them look more real. The patterned paper is from Stampin Up and the ribbon is Offray. The sentiment is a dollar stamp I purchased at Joanns awhile back. Thanks so much for stopping by:).

Celebrate the Occasion Challenge #23

Hi
This is my second post for today. I want to share with you my project for challenge #23 @ Celebrate the Occasion. The challenge this week is any occasion, but you must use the colors blue and white. I made a simple card using a snowflake from the Joys of the Season cart. The patterned paper is from a Momenta paperstack I purchased last year. The smaller snowflakes are a EK Success punch. There are some beautiful submissions on this challenge. Check out their blog and play along.

I am also linking this project to Cricut Cardz Challenge. The theme is "Holiday anything goes"

Cheer Up With CAC cart.

Hello Everyone!
I have soo much to do this weekend in getting ready for my kids to start school next week. I return to work the following week, so my posts will probably slow down. Summer vacation has gone by so fast! I will try to post as much as I can. I wanted to share this card I made with the Create a Critter cart. I love all the cuts on this cart. My patterned paper is Ecko Park. I took one pic right after making the card, the lighting was better, but my stickles were still wet. The other was taken after the stickels dried and the sun had gone down:(. I used my new stamps from Emma @ My Creative Time (LOVE THE NEW RELEASE). Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by:)

By the way, I'm participating in my first blog hop on Aug 1st. ScrappyEMT is hosting this hop. I'm super excited to be in my first hop, so check back to see what I create. The theme is is Back To School. I know she was wanting a few more people to join in, so if you would like to, check out her blog HERE. She will tell you everything you need to do.

A long over due Thanks!!

Hello Everyone!

I want to take some time to thank some very special friends who thought enough to pass me some great blog awards: Amy, the redheaded crafter, and Karen @ Kaledoiscope Sparkles.
Thanks Amy and Karen!
Thanks Karen
Thanks Karen

It has took me way too long to accept and pass these on. I am going to tell 5 things cricut realted about me:

1. I own 2 expressions
2. I purchased my first expression from the goodwill. It was missing a cord and blade housing, but I only paid 20 bucks for it.
3. I am obsessed with cricut carts, but have a hard time paying full prices for them.
4. I purchased the E2 on hsn, but prefer the original.
5. I love to cut vinyl on my cricut, and want to become more comfortable with cutting fabric on it.

I am passing these awards to:
1.Letilla
2.Tracey
3.Love My Paper

These are some wonderful people with awesome blogs. Pay them a visit and see the wonderful projects they have created.

Birthday T-shirts!

Hi!
I hope everyone is having an awesome Tuesday! I forgot to share with you the birthday girl t-shirts I made for my daughter to wear on her actual birthday. I found an awesome tutorial @ Karlee Krafts. She did one for her daugher and son. My son is 14 and wanted no parts of a birthday shirt (Lol), so I only made one other one for my 4yr old. I used the Once Upon A Princess cart and the same iron on transfer as Karlee to create some super cute T-shirts. As you can see I added "BIG SIS" to my older daughter's shirt to make sure no one confused it with being her birthday. She is unpatiently awaiting her day :( Anyhoo, thanks for stopping by :)

Getting Scrappy Challenge #13

Hi
This is my second post of the day. I want to share with you my LO for the Getting Scrappy Challenged hosted by Amanda @ Amanda's Crafts and more. There is a challenge every other Sunday and this Sunday's challenge is Christmas in July. You must summit a LO. I used Joys of the Season cart. I plan to put a pic of my kids that was taken in front of the fireplace last Christmas Eve. I've made taking that pic on Christmas Eve a tradition; We bake some cookies then I take the pic while the cookies are baking. I love the pictures we have taken so far because they are always so excited on Christmas Eve and their excitement shows on their faces. Thanks so much for stopping by:)

Vinyl Home Decor

Hi!
I hope everyone had a great weekend. I had a very relaxing one. Today I want to share a vinyl project that I put over the doors of my laundry closet. I used my gypsy to weld the letters on the gypsy font cart. I designed it on a 12x24 mat to make it big. I added 2 clothes hangers from the Straight From the Nest cart. This was super simple and didn't take much time at all. The vinyl is the cricut brand that I got a super deal on last year at walmart for only 2 bucks a package. Thanks so much for stopping by:)

Summer Fun Layout!

Hello !
And yes, you read correctly, LAYOUT! I've never posted a LO on this blog. I've only done one this year. I'm so behind on my kids scrapbook pages. I recently purchased the summertime collection by Echo Park and wanted to use it to make a LO of my kids at the lake. The title was cut using Straight From the Nest and Sweet Treats. I finally used some trim that I've had for years and never used. I think I went a little crazy with stitching though. I'm planning to start on my daughter's birthday pics next. I'm determined to get at least one more page done this weekend. (I'm crossing my fingers). Have a great day and thanks for stopping by:)

MAG Challenge #36

Hello
I want to share my project for M.A.G.Challenge by the Page. This challenge is different than others because you can only use cuts on a certain cart and page. This week's challenge is from Create A Critter page 59.

You can only use items from this page, but you can add as many of your own embellishments as you like. I chose to make a shaped card with the star. This card was pretty simple, but since I made it with my daughters 4 and 2 in my scrapping area, it took much longer than it should have (LOL). Anyway, we had alot of fun and my 4 yr old told me that my card was perfect. That was good enough for me :) Have a good night.

I'm back for the second time today. I made this card using my gypsy and Straight From the Nest cricut cart. It was originally two presents, but I hid one and made a shaped card. Birthday Party for my daughter

Hello!
I hope everyone is having a great Monday. I've been super busy with my daughter's party, then a family reunion, then a family friend unexpectly passed away. I had the party on Saturday, but had to do some things very quickly and didn't get to do everything I planned to do. Anyway, I searched the web and found some great ideas @ Lauren's Creative. She is sooo talented. She had a tutorial on tissue paper pom pom that was super easy to follow. I had a friend take some pics before the guests arrived. Then I had to get a pic of the birthday girl. She loves to take pics :)

Birthday Banner for my daughter!

I was thinking that I would post this next week after I had completed more projects, but I wanted to go ahead and post my first banner! I watched a video by Ruthie, the banner queen, @ septemberninth. I got enough courage to try one for my youngest daughter's second birthday! I used Birthday Bash for the flags and font. The icecream cones and cakes are from Sweet Treats. I have much more to do, but plan to be finished by Monday. Thanks for stopping by :)
